What is Cremation?
Cremation is a process in which intense heat is used to transform the body back to its basic elements. What remains in the cremation chamber is primarily bone fragments. The bone is then processed into ashes, more commonly know as cremains or remains.
-
How do I know the remains returned to me are actually my pet?
We at Wasatch Family Pet Services believe every pet and owner deserve this security without the added trauma of having to view the cremation. In order to ensure that your pet is treated with the utmost care, all of our animals are tagged and tracked through the entire process. The same tag will identify the animal throughout the process and will be attached to the bottom of the urn of your choice. An animal can be issued a metal identification disc upon request of the owner. Your pet’s identification disc would remain with the body during the cremation process and is packaged along with the ashes inside of the urn. We understand that your pet is a member of your family and deserves the very best.
-

Wasatch Family Pet Services makes every effort to have your pets remains returned to you in 2-3 business days from the date of pickup. Your pets remains will be returned to your veterinarian, or upon request can be picked up from our facility. Appointments are necessary. Please call us with special requests.
